Elisabeth Horesh became interested in Chinese medicine after being diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, in her twenties. After deciding to try Chinese medicine rather than typical western treatments, her symptoms completely resolved. Elisabeth founded Nurture in 2014, with the goal of supporting patients in their pursuit of greater health and wellness. As one of only four fellows of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) in the state of Massachusetts, Elisabeth provides comprehensive treatment for a wide range of reproductive and fertility issues in both women and men. This specialization complements a broad range of health issues that she is able to treat.
Elisabeth obtained her undergraduate degree in 2004 from Boston College in English and Environmental Geoscience. After working as an environmental scientist for several years, she returned to school and earned a Masters in Oriental Medicine, graduating from the New England School of Acupuncture. This degree included training in traditional Chinese Acupuncture as well as in Chinese herbal medicine. Following five years as a general practitioner of Chinese Medicine, Elisabeth became Board Certified in Oriental Reproductive Medicine. Elisabeth is passionate about helping women and men in their quest for better health and optimal fertility. She does this by incorporating her background as an environmental scientist with her working knowledge of Chinese medicine to assess and treat all aspects of the patient. In addition to being a lifelong student of Chinese medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking creatively, and spending as much time outside as possible.
