Jodie L. Freid, LMHC
I have worked in the field of Psychology since 1998. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Developmental Psychology from Suffolk University in 1998, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical/Behavioral Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, in 2003. I have received advanced training from The Postpartum Stress Center, in the treatment of Postpartum Depression and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD). My professional background includes work as a polysomnographic (sleep) technologist, clinical work for adults with developmental disabilities and/or traumatic brain injury, parents of children and adult-children living with disabilities, and extensive counseling in outpatient clinics covering the full-spectrum of mental health, primarily with adults, but some clinical work with children as well.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #8267) in Massachusetts and a member of MaMHCA and AMHCA. I use a supportive, collaborative, behavioral modification approach. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-care skills that focus on utilizing the five senses. My main goal is to build a trusting relationship with you so that you feel your most comfortable and empowered to grow.
