I started this journey in 1994 after the birth of my first daughter. I knew at that point I would be a midwife but I didn’t know how or when I would get there. After having 2 more daughters I decided it was time to think about what “I” wanted to do. That’s when I took the DONA doula training and began attending hospital births as a doula. My 4th baby was born at home with a local CPM and shortly after I enrolled in the MMA Basic Midwifery Course. I have completed my apprenticeship and I am currently accepting home birth clients as I work towards earning my Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential. I am also enrolled in the Ancient Art Midwifery advanced study program.
Along the way, I have homeschooled all of my children. I now have one heading towards college and life beyond home, one daughter in school and my youngest two, both under 10, are still learning at home. We have had a life rich with animals of all types and many wonderful experiences.
